The Apprentice Program

The heart and soul of the Old Brick Playhouse, the Apprentice Program has been growing the next generation of young artists and performers for over thirty years! The program focuses on self-esteem building, mentoring, improvisation, public presentation, and of course, acting and the dramatic arts. Once operating on a yearly schedule, the program now exists in two sessions per year - one in the Fall and one in the Spring - seeing about 40 students per session, and historically boasting over 3,000 alumni. Each session culminates in a full-fledged performance that consistently sells out for its entire week-long run! More so than that, however, this ragtag band during the course of the program becomes much more; as one apprentice would put it "we became a family back stage".

The Apprentice Program is for students grades 6 through 12. Meetings begin Monday, January 27th at 3:30pm until 5pm, and occur generally every Monday and Thursday at the same, with a more specific rehearsal calendar provided once the program starts.
